w6 on full steel

(quoted from post at 19:21:56 07/29/14) Has anyone ever saw a w6 on full steel?

I hope you are sitting down for this.

I saw one on an estate auction sale approximately 20 years ago. It was a complete tractor and it was a non-runner. The lugs were like new, I have never seen steel wheels in better condition. It went for $70. This was back before the IH collecting craze really exploded around here. It was just bad timing for me--too far from home and I didn't own a trailer at the time. I had plenty of excuses not to buy it. I really regret it now!

I bought one, but I"ve never saw another one.

We have now! Don't care what you paid for it, good buy!

Personally I would knock the big clods off, get it running, and preserve it as-is.

wow , that must be a 1939, as no starter unless it was robbed. keep as is. nice original. serial # ?.
