wiring glow plug meter

What is the proper wiring for the glow plug meter on the IH diesel?

is it wiring similar to an ammeter- power into one side, and out the other, or is it power to one stud, ground to the other?

What model IH tractor? Many use the glow-plug
indicator on the dash as a resistor and it is run in
series with the other glow plugs.

It's a 2606(I think) with the 6 cylinder d-236 motor.

Right now I'm simply running a toggle to the glow plugs bypassing the meter. Would like to use it though.

The glow plug meter is just an ammeter. Put the hot on one side and the wire to the plugs on the other. If the meter reads backwards reverse the wires.
