honey bees in gas tank

I purchased a gas tank to replace bad tank on m farmall , I put it on shelf under open shed now I have a honey bee hive in tank any idea how to remove or dissolve the bee cone.??

if they are not the killer bees, the bees are somewhat valuable, maybe not so much as the tank.

contact local bee keepers association. should be able to google it and find them.

I forgot to mention a bee keeper did come by and got the bees, but he did not know how to get the cone out.

Not at all hard to get out. Boil up some water and then pour it in shake it up dump it out. Do that a number of times. Then boil up some ATF and do the same thing and you should be good to go. Bee wax melts at under the boiling point of water so by doing that you will melt it and then be able to pour it out. Then you do the ATF to clean and remove the little bit that the water may not get out

A nice big can of MEK is a very good solvent. Most will come out with the hot water and a little dish soap. Gives the water more power.

If water/chemicals don't work you can always through a handful of nuts and bolts in there and shake it up good. That'll get rid of it completely.
