450 PTO

My 450 has a leak on the pto.It is coming from the shaft where it goes into pto .This is from the shaft that is attached to the handle that you push forward to turn pto on. I have been putting up with this leak but is getting worse.My question how hard is it to replace this seal and where would you suggest getting it from?

You can get the seal from Napa if you bring in what's left of the old one, and record the exact size of the shaft that it seals on. It is not terribly difficult, but you need to be able to remove the handle (lever) and to get the old one out without scoring the boss that it fits into. A big screwdriver can work wonders in this area. My email is open, I've actually got one of the seals that I haven't used, I'll mail it to you if you want it. Good luck, Hugh McKinney
