Will Engine Parts from SA fit a 140?

As some of you have seen in my recent posts, I am getting ready to replace the governor, camshaft gear (or entire camshaft & gear) and the crankshaft and crank gear in my 1949 Farmall Super A tractor with the C-113 engine. I would like to know if those parts would fit or work if I used the ones from a 1967 Farmall 140 tractor with the C-123 engine.

Reason I ask is because we recently took the 140 engine apart and sold the block so those parts are readily available on my shelf and I'd hate to tear a Super A engine apart if those would fit.

Ok....I've read where the governor spring is different on the Farmall 140 compared to the Super A. Think that will cause any problems?

Crankshaft is different and water pump is different. Here is a direct link to my project. I started out with a 49 Super A and I salvaged a 140. A super A crankshaft will not work with a 140, but a 140 crankshaft will work for a Super A so long as the threaded part on the crank where the pulley is attached is cut off. I used a 140 Crank in a 130 block for a Super A build and I had to cut the threaded part off the 140 crank to make it work in the 130 block.

I have tried several times to insert a direct link, but it doesn't work. [/url]
