IH V-8 pickup engines.... How to identify?

I have been thinking about putting a v-8 engine in a farmall m
ever since I saw a few at last years red power show in Lima.
After talking to one gentleman who put a 345v-8 in his I asked
if the stock radiator could handle the extra 100 cubic inches
and keep it cool. He said it was marginal, and would heat up if
it was put to work. So I have been thinking about a 304v-8 or
even a 266v-8 but I don"t know how to identify them from a
345 or even a 392. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On most of them, the displacement is stamped on a machined surface on the RH side of the block, to the rear of the fuel pump and below the point where the cylinder head and block meet.

In he photo below, if you look closely, you can see "V-345A" stamped above the 273272 serial number.
