Difference in a 240 head and a super c?

Was told to put a 240 head and intake on on my super c for a hp increase. What's the difference? I'm searching for the best options to increase hp in my sc for pulling. Wouldn't putting the 3.25" piston in it be the same as the 240? Or I've looked into a complete larger engine as the 135 Or the 153. Seems to be a lil extra work than just swapping the engine with the 153, I don't know about the 135. I'm really, wanting to pull farm stock and that requires original block. I just don't think I can make enough power to pull super farm or a in a cut tire class. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know about the head, but the piston diameter is the same... both are 123ci. the 240 is about 8- 10 more HP than the SC/200, but I believe most of that comes from increased rpm. Some no doubt from other places like cam, compression (including the head), timing, etc, but cubes are identical. The 404 engine is 135 and that sleeve and piston I believe will fit in the 123 block.

240 has biggr valves and better manifold but still 123 engine thats why you go to 3 1/4 gives 135cu in and change gov spring getting rpms to 2100 rpms like the 240. easy to get 40hp

Well this is my dilemma,I don't know how much hp a super h has but would like to be more than competitive with it. Farm stock here I'm pulling with wd's and wc's as well as the h in the 3250. I seen a super c that had no let up in that class and would outpull everything. Idk what he had done but it was a c123 block. I just don't think I can make the power to pull in a cut tire class or super farm were you can run a different engine with the options I have to start with. 40+hp in a sc is a lot. I live next door to a machine shop as well and I'm good friends with the guy as well. What carb would I run? Mine sounds like it's starving for air now with no breather at all. I have got the rpms up quite a bit as well.

The combustion chamber on the 240 head is significantly smaller than the Super C.

You've seriously got to sit down and come up with a plan. You seem to be jumping here there and everywhere, based on something someone told you...

Just asking questions trying to see which way is better to go. Looks like so far my best options are keeping the original block where I can pull farm stock still. Also looks like running the 240 head and the 3.25" piston kit I'm gonna make a lot more compression. That still leaves me a lot to figure out.Just want to research it all and personal experiences from ppl get me pointed in the right direction on what look for, cam, carb jetting, govenor springs etc.
