Well, the 460 LP that I wrote about a couple of weeks ago is up, running, and the Fast Hitch works like a charm! But it was a hard road getting there. The hydraulic pump was not making contact with the drive gear, because the OEM "retainer" that holds the pump driven gear in place, had been replaced with an ordinary washer that had bent until it no longer was preventing the driven gear from walking on the spline until it no longer was driving the pump. Ordered new one from dealer, installed it, put it all back together with new o-rings, and then crank it up: STILL no action at my Fast Hitch. But since I overfilled the reservoir, I felt like it should be working. I cracked a couple of fittings at the source, and I've got good pressure--so what gives? It turned out that the spool valve located near my left foot, was not moving enough to open and operate the cylinder on the hitch. Used a screwdriver to force the valve lever down some more, and presto! The hitch raises just like a new one! Thanks to all who provided lots of help and advice on this confounding problem. And what a thrill it is to get on it now and know I can put my bush-hog on the back and start working cutting my pasture! Thanks again, Hugh

Thanks! I read the whole article last night, and this afternoon I plan on doing the part about the spool valves for the Fast Hitch--it is like a cookbook, just do what he says and follow his observations, and I think I can get the Fast Hitch where it won't "hunt"-mine does the same thing his did. Again, thanks so much for finding and posting that article. Hugh
