Odd problem with my BA this morning

So I used the BA yesterday to mow hay with. Parked if by the shop to do some maintenance on the sickle mower. Well went to start it to move it and it started up then died. Out of fuel. Put some gas in and it would not even try to fire. Checked the points and had no spark at the points. Hot wired it and it fired right up. So guess the ignition switch form 1941 has gone bad. Oh well time for a toggle switch

Let me tell you it's a whole lot more fun figuring it out when bypassing the switch doesn't work either.

Oh ya understand that too many times over. But at least on this one the simple spark test told me what was wrong.

The fuse is not normally in the ignition circuit. It is unprotected in all that I have seen. Again welcome back. Jim

Ya I figured that but then who knows what some one else has done to thew wiring in it. It has no lights but has been switched to 12 volts.

Ya when I wired it up I just used the switch and the places that where being used so guess some one put the ignition wire on the wrong side of the head light fuse
