farmall a blowing white smoke

Probably a crack in the head. Remove the manifold and you will probably find a crack in the head letting coolant leak into one of the exhaust ports this answer is because ive seen a couple that way. That would be first place to look.

The other posts are on track. If there is antfreeze in the cooling system the white smoke will have a sweet "different" odor to it. (If water is the coolant, it will not have odor.) As mentioned,it is an indication of coolant into the combustion chamber. Head gaskets, cracked heads, or cracked sleeves can cause the issue.
If it runs on 3 cylinders for a short time when started, it is surely that. After it sits over night, pull all plugs, leave the ignition off, and use the starter to spin the engine in neutral, no choke. Watch the sparkplug holes to see if coolant sprays out of one hole. Best of luck. Jim
