OK,I have looked at the parts schematic and as far as the bearings and seals,it looks pretty straight fore ward to me as far as rebuilding.
Since I am "getting after it" I thought about trying to do something for the paper in the old pulley. It is nicked a little, some oil soaking, but still very solid and would be usable. I AM NOT looking to to a "concourse restoration" of this pulley, just trying to save and preserve it.
My thoughts was to use brake cleaner to get the oil off of it,slightly sand it,and maybe some linseed oil?(I have heard Janicolson mention using a product called "street shoe" on them???)
Thoughts,opinions,tips????
