Farmall C pulling a float in a parade

Just because I am not well versed on the capabilities of my C just wondering if it will handle a 4 place aluminum snowmobile trailer and some bedroom furniture in a parade that runs about 1 mile. It is a fresh engine and transmission restoration and does run flawless. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've pulled floats bigger than that with a 7 HP Cub Cadet.

Be CAREFUL.... Don't let that Power House get away from you! ;-)

You won't have any problem, just ease around till you figure out what your stopping distances are.

I have a 53SH that I pull a 25' hay rack with benches. I've had as many as 30 people on board and it gets heavy. Getting going is easy it's stopping that takes extra attention.

I've pulled 18' hay wagons loaded with 25 people thru sand during our local dairy farm tour with my JD H and Allis B. Both lighter than your C, and about 16 hp, but both had all they wanted.

It will pull 10 of those in a long train. If it has good brakes, you are good to go. Drive it around with the trailer on it for an hour to assure that you are one with the rig. Be sure to make some rapid stops, and get a feel for the clutch to avoid jerking. Jim

Yep, you're C will do it and not even get up to temp.

get a feel for your clutch and use the throttle for speeding up and slowing down. Leave some space between you and the next guy. Make sure your brakes are good and can handle the weight, especially if you have hills on the route.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, make sure you throw some good candy. :)

If the brakes are good I see no reason why it wouldn't. I have Farmall B and pull two 14 ft. wagons load with hay with no problems.

easily, like the other poster ive pulled several times that with a 49 cub and had no problems at all

Your C will pull 2 or 3 ton wagons just fine. If you have passengers, the smoother you drive the more they will enjoy the ride. Make sure to fasten the furniture to the trailer bed. That stuff slides easier than you think it will.
