300u haydraulic lever

The hitch lift hydraulic lever on my 300 U is stripped. I can't seem to find any online, with the exception of Worthington, who want $260 for one. That's about 1/4 of what i paid for the tractor. Any good sources for that sort of thing?

My 330 which uses the same valve, came to me with
some kind of box end wrench replacing the lever.
Not good enough for the correct police, but it
makes the valve work.

If you don't mind what it looks like get a lever off of a 300 row crop hydraulic block and weld a rod to it. They are made of steel and splines will last much longer.

You need to go old school. Use the yellow pages and the phone to call around to tractor salvage yards in your area. Ask if they have a 300 or 350 Utility on the lot that might have the part you need.

Not many salvage yards put their inventories online because of the work and cost involved. You've got tens of thousands of parts, which you often only have one of, which would need to be stripped off the tractor, inventoried, priced and stored somewhere you'd be able to find it again. Then it only makes money if you sell the part, and many parts don't sell.

Do you want "useable",or "show perfect"?There are a lot of possible 'fixes' out there.Any and all will work.If you want "show perfect",then you gotta go with the hi dollar one.

I think those levers were pot metal, might be wrong. I looked up price online IH book and they want 224 bucks. I think I would find a junked Farmall 300, 400, or 4 or 560 and get the little short steel lever off of one of them and then build a handle to your liking out of that.
