I installed the charlynn pulley on my M just a couple of months ago. I had to remove the 8 bolts that hold the bolster assembly to the frame rails, and using a couple of pry bars, move the bolster ahead about 3 inches. The charlynn pulley will not fit in there without doing that.

I beg to differ. I just installed the crank pulley for a charlynn system on an M less than a month ago and it will slip in without moving the front bolster at all. In his case I think he will need to move it forward a few inches to get that double pulley off. Rust depending it shouldn"t be too bad of a job.

Yours may have fit. Mine DID NOT.[/quote]
Rusty what did you do to get your fan to clear the pulley on the power steering pump? Also how did you reinstall the water pump drive? Thank You.

I did not install the Charlynn power steering pump. Instead, I installed a Vickers, vane style pump. I built my own mounting brackets. The belt to fan clearance was a little close. 2 of the blades had sifficient clearance, 2 did not. Go figure. I chose the easy way out, and figured that if 2 of the blades cleared, then the fan must be bent already, so I "adjusted" a little more clearance into the remaining 2 blades. I think there is supposed to be a spacer that fits between the water pump hub and the fan, but I did not have one, nor did I know where to find it.
