It is worth this much in Kansas

He's right on the money; that's what they are worth.

I guess I should have bought all the unpainted $150 ones. It's the one restoration that pays!

Sounds fair to me. Had to give 1200 for my H unpainted and without the sickle mower 6 years ago in central Nebraska

Price is good you cant do all that work and have good tires unless someone gives you the tractor to begin with.

Yeah, but what condition are those $150 tractors in? Probably not running, or running badly and smoking like a fiend. Tires shot, probably at least one rim shot too.

Even if you do just the bare minimum, used tires, and slap a coat of red paint on it, you'll easily have $1500 in the tractor.

for that tractor, id give that, you cant build it from a worn out one for that these days

I thought it was for just the sickle mower. Heck yeah the tractor and the mower are worth that. It looks like an honest restoration.

I actually thought it was the same mower that was on here a couple months ago. The one that was unattached, but the guy would hook it up to prove it works if you paid the full asking price.

For that kind of money, I'd want it to have a "correct" battery box, a Monroe style seat, a knob on the shifter, and the correct light switch. Not saying the tractor is not 100% useable just as it is, but it is a long way from being an honest restoration.

I've never seen a running H bring less than $800 in any condition. And anything in good running condition with usable tires and rims is usually at least $1200 to $1400 - even at the Harley Gerdes auctions.

decent looking tractor.
Around here the tractor alone would probably be a quick sell
at about 1500 if he would drop that mower off and put the swinging drawbar back on.
If it was local to me, I'd take 1200 cash with me and tell him I wasn't interested in the mower at any price.
Here is 1200 for the tractor and I'll find my own drawbar.....
