friend bought this and Im helping get it running, well I got it running and mower works good thing is how do you get the 3 point hitch to work I ck fluid, was a couple quarts low using lever on right side of steering wheel nothing happens does anyone know what Im not doing,filter is probley dirty.

some have a valve it should stick up through the driveshaft cover not sure if yours has it or not you can pull it up and down

2 r 3 quarts low, system has air in it. with engine running, cycle lever all the way forward and back for several times, slowly. re check fluid level after this.

could filter be stopped up as well??? hasnt been changed in 7yrs.

yes, it is possible. pump may not be working. etc. etc.

Where are you checking the hydraulic fluid level at? It should use the same fluid , Hytran or equil., that's in the transmission.

Does the mower go up and down? If so, your hydraulics are working fine.

The mower lift uses the same hydraulics as the 3pt. I'm not familiar with this model but there may be some sort of diverter valve that allows you to switch between the mower lift and the 3pt.

On the back of the tranmission under belt pulley slightly to the right????Is this the correct place to ck????

Its on the side of the transmission, but near impossible to get to easily. If you have it up to the level on the rear plug, and they still dont work, either the filter is completely plugged, or the pump is bad, or could be a problem in the valve on the handle. Im not sure if there is a priority valve to use the 3pt sepratly or not, mine doesnt have the 3pt.

changed filter and fluid , peaked on the lever value and it started working, now my friend is ready to sell it,have 3 point and mower but no power steering. still needs a little tlc I think he is going to ask around 2500 or best offer close to that, is he out of line on the price?Thank you all for the info.

Don't know of a power steering setup for these, maybe there is. Id start there, but 1500 would be more in line around here, even with the 3point.
