I am just finishing up my teardown, in preparation for a complete overhaul of the engine. i use the clutch extensively as this is a loader tractor i use about 100 hrs a year so i am going to replace the clutch while i have it dissassembled. would it be worthwhile to replace the whole clutch assembly for $220+ or would the clutch disc just need to be replaced for $75 or so? How would i know which road to go on this? I havent been down this road before.

Do the whole/complete clutch.Surface the flywheel, replace throwout brg, pilot bearing....The pressure plate will be worn,'grooved',springs are getting weak....The flywheel will be grooved....Buy a 'clutck kit',it will have all the parts.Ya, you can just do the disk only, but it will be grabby, tend to slip, and will possibly fail soon.Do it right the FIRST time, and have a repair that will last....
