Mo. 60 plow

Can you reduce a 3-14 mo. 60 plow to 2 -14s? Will they pull level or nose over? Thanks DTK.

Reducing the 3 bottom to 2 is possible IF your hitch brackets only cross over the first two beams and you have the shorter third beam. If they cross over all 3, it has the longer third beam, and making it a 2-bottom would require a parts plow or modification.

You'll also have to shorten the tail wheel linkage or make one when you move the tail wheel foreward. Finding the 2-bottom linkage will be next to impossible.

Good luck.

DTK,

Maybe you would be better off just buying a 2-14" plow. They are "out there" and once in a while you can find a good one...I see them now and then at farm auctions and have bought a couple nice ones...and there is always someone who wants one so much I end up selling it.

Your 3-14" is a plow people are always looking for. You can easily sell it...or the best thing is to own both plows.

Radically altering a good plow is something you might regret for a long time.

AG in Ind. My 60 plow has the narrow hitch . I might reduce it
to 2 bottoms. I need the lower parallel link and spring on the
rear wheel. Any good parts sources out there? Thanks DTK.

I don't know of any donor plows around here. I parted a 4-bottom 60 a few years back, but most of the tail wheel assembly was just about destroyed.

If you're talking about the centering spring on the rear axle, it's sort of optional. Last one I got was from the Parts Depot. They had the spring, plug, and long threaded bolt. Perhaps they would have that linkage, too.
