i have a 2500 with hydo shuttle shif does my tractor take hydraulic fluid or transmission fluid.i .if it takes tranny fluid what kind thanks

Save yourself a lot of grief, go to a CaseIH dealer and buy some HyTran, that is the right oil for your tractor.

100% positive it uses CaseIH "HyTran" brand fluid.

There are also compatible fluids. Look for fluids that meet MS-1209 specifications or say "Hytran Compatible" on the can. Do not use anything that doesn't at least say it's compatible with Hytran.

Hytran is not cheap. If you can spring for the real stuff, you probably should, but if you can't then at least use compatible fluid.
