826 hydro gold demo

Hey guys,
I think I found a 826 hydro, gold Demo.
There is gold paint under the fenders and under the air cleaner cover.And has black dash, Trans, works great.Any one know how many were built?

I dont think anyone really knows...There were approxamately 10,000 total 826 tractors(gear and hydro) built.I dont believe IH kept track how many were gold...or red for that matter.No one can tell me how many of each were built(I've asked several times)I do know that I see way more gear drive than Hydros.BTW,I own an 826 Hydro.

Everyone seems to think a 1026 is rare at just under 3000 copys.However,I see/have seen way more 1026 than 826H tractors.Leads me to believe that the 826Hydro is a 'rarer' tractor than trhe 1026 (hydro).Had one of those once,too.Should have NEVER sold it!
