Have been messing with clutch / pressure plate for a year now, long story, but I put in reman pressure plate, everything else like clutch plate, throw-out bearing, etc. was OK. The thing then vibrated bad, broke the aluminum Y-yoke carrier, the clutch pivot bar vibrated real bad in and out, I couldn't figure it out.
Time to fess up, so nobody else makes this stupid mistake; I had installed that 4-taper-bolt wavy joint ring BACKWARDS. Yep, it can be done, hard to do, but I did it. The drive shaft never even entered the pilot bearing, it was free to fling itself around, and it did.
Split the tractor, put in new pilot bearing, grinded the flywheel, installed everything right, it all works.
