What can I do to seal the hard rubber steering wheel? Thanks in advance

I read on here a while back to spray it with lacquer-----I tried it and it works alright but needs occasional recoat

I go over them with steel wool real good,wipe down then several coats of clear spray paint.Seems to last quite awhile.At least you don't get black hands whenever you touch it.Ron

You might not want to do this, you might want to experiment first, but that black spray-on truck-bed coating works to seal real well, provides grippy tough surface, is sand-able. I repaired my old 1950 steering wheel, like it a lot, has lasted several years now. Covers all the cracks, etc.
