Ok guys so I am rebuilding the factory IH wide
front on an M. This has the tie rods in the rear.
Anyway, The center tube had alot of play on the
pivot pin so I ordered a new pin and bushings.
Once I pulled it apart, the old pin is in really
good shape but the bushings are pretty worn. My
problem is that the bushings look like the ID was
always too big...not just worn that much.
I got the new bushing from the local auto parts
supplier that has always been real good about
bushings, bearings and seals. I was trying to
avoid spending $86 for them from IH. I gave them
#48841D part number, they crossed that to FP-
A27846 (package says Piston Pin Bushing but I
guess it would work). These bushings have an ID of
1.3125" and the shaft measures 1.1875" Did they
cross reference the bushing wrong or did these
really have that much clearance to begin with???
