Going to pull the motor on my h so I can rebuild it. We're is the best place for me to hook chains on the head bolts or in the manifold and water pump bolt holes

head studs is ideal. make yourself a lifting chain. use a couple short pieces of angle iron and drill a hole to fit the studs then weld a piece of chain to them.

I used a piece of angle iron, drilled holes to fit valve cover studs & welded a loop in the center for a chain, works great.

I put a chain in 2 corners of the block, if I can get the studs out and replace them with normal bolts to eliminate the possibility of bending the studs.
