I got offered this hitch for $250

And I am wondering if it will work for my 48 h. He said it works fine and works off the belly pump, you pull the rod to lift it and push it to lower it. He pulls his tractors and wants to get rid of it. These are my controls

How do I know if my belly pump works and if it's got plumbing for it? Would those controls work for it or do I need to put this on

I put one on my 47 H ,as far as the pump I drained and refilled with 30w non-det. oil and crossed my fingers. The org. controls work fine , no down pressure from the stock set-up. I run a 6ft brush hog in the summer and 7ft scraper blade in winter.Just need to play with and learn when to pull the rod and when to push it down.

Did you get it to do down pressure at all? I could see that, the cylinder just lifts it up and holds it until it's released and then it's just the weight of that attachment to hold it down?

You do not really want down pressure, takes the weight off the rear wheels. Add weight to the blade to give you pressure.

Hook the cycl to the port on the right side where the lever is. You have a select control valve thats mounted on the lite bar dont use that. Save it for another purpose do not give that control away its worth good money it is for when you use two cycls for another purpose.

Here is what the inside of those hose connectors look like on the lever.

Is there only one hose? I figured there would be a return line too. Can I use that lever at all or do I have to take it off and put another one on. I'm not too up on the hydraulics. I have a parts tractor too.

You have a selective lift control on there now. This was designed to
lift cultivators and other implements through the lift all cylinders
independently. It would be a lot simpler with just the rod. Pressure
is of left side of the pump returns on right.

Thanks for the info. As weird as this sounds I like the look of that lever system. I think it's unique feature. If I can keep it still I'd like to. Can I use that lever as a lever or does it have to go through those ports.

The ports are all one way when the pressure is released the oil goes rite back thru the same hose and port the outlets on an H are all the same the left rear one is for a delay for rear tooling.

Thanks for all the info guys. I am hopefully getting it this weekend
