2000 I H Loader

What options do I have for a bucket on the front of an IH 2000 factory loader? I have a 5ft bucket in there now.

Are they a good loader?

I have a 2001 (single tilt cylinder). The loader works fine, but kind of a hassle to get it on and off.

A welding shop can make whatever bucket you want, otherwise you would have to scrounge and do some welding yourself.

The 2000 seems to have a fairly good reputation as long as you don't require a quick detach loader. The bucket attachment was a little more "universal" than the 2001 in that the arms and dump cylinders pin to the back of the bucket rather than the sides and middle, respectively, like the 2001. My 2000 has a homemade "semi-quick-detach" bucket with hooks at the top and pins at the bottom on channels that stay attached to the loader frame and dump cylinders. Most any bucket could be easily adapted by welding on a pair of plates with holes on each side at the correct spacing for the arms. My bucket is a six-footer which is nice because it just about clears the outside edges of the tires which is handy for things like snow removal.

Can't say that I have seen a 2000 loader recently but I was wondering if have thought about converting it to skid steer attachment. Worksaver sells a universal mount that you would have to fabricate brackets to mount to your loader. Then you would be able to use bucket or forks or whatever else you may wish to use all with the convience of quick attachment.
