Starting a complete rebuild after getting her home-sat in a field for three years before I bought her. Got it running bur the carb leaks gas out of the top of the accelerator pump. The carb is a British made Zenith VN. The only other marking I can find is P1836. Is a sticking float causing the leak or is it something else. Also having trouble findinr rebuild kit.

B414s came with 30 mm VNs or VNNs. VN is the one with the economy valve and accelerator pump. I've fixed many and rarely needed a kit. If you do need one - McDonald Carb sells them (or at least last year he did). Also floats, throttle shafts, etc. The 30 MM VN carb like you have was also used on several British cars.

1963-65 Hillman Husky uses a 30 mm VNN
1963-65 Commer Cob uses a 30 mm VNN
1961-65 Hillman Minx uses a 30 mm VN
1961-68 International Harvester 2360 cc tractor 30MM VNN and 30MM VN

I have the factory "Zenith Carburetter" manual if you need any tech info. I've fixed many by cutting my own top gasket and stretching the accel pump.
