Lo Boy owners?

I drove past a Lo Boy a week ago, not sure which model but its the 154/184/185 body style, about an hr from here, looks like its probably for sale but nobody was home that day, want to go back and check on it again tho so I thought I'd see if there was some owners here and how you like your Lo Boys, I have an IH Hydro 86w/fel and a small collection of garden tractors, thinking something like a Lo Boy might be good to have around with a front or rear blade on it to maintain the gravel drives in the yard. TIA

its an ok tractor the clutch is week point they do have a live pto so you mow in reverse some do have a 3 point hitch which can come in handy

just traded for a regular cub. it has a rear home made blade. piece of steel welded onto rear cultivator points.

I have a 184 that I have mowed with for the last 4 years. I really like it. It steers great and the live PTO is great.

I formerly mowed with a full size Cub and I liked it too, but the live PTO makes a big difference.

I have a 154. Good luck finding the right front
blade for it, not too hard to build something for it
though. For a rear blade, youll need a 3pt, and
some, if not most of the 154s didnt have one. As
mentioned, its a good mowing tractor, but SLOW IMO.

Well I now own a Loboy... but the not the one posted above, Ive known about another one for about a year but could never talk the guy out of it, finally today he agreed because I picked up a couple garden tractors he wants, a Ford 120(rough and hydro issues) and a Gravely c10a(runs and tills but needs tlc), so we made a trade, no cash exchange.

The 154 has a rear box blade on it but no other attachments, runs and moves, has a spare tranny, the clutch is slipping, and I have a 6' front blade here I can make work.

I also have a '62 Cub original in the works so they will make a nice pair;)

Havent checked the #s or even got it out of trailer yet... but I think Ive found a cure for my garden tractor addiction...

Got it unloaded, according to tractordata it would be a '73, missing the grill and battery cover, runs nice but doesnt move, there is another tranny that came with it, pto works, 3pt works. Lot of work but should be a fun project

Well actually it does move under its own power... just no 1st or reverse, feels like maybe just a shift fork issue so hopefully an easy fix... the spare tranny does feel like its going into all gears so I should have any parts I need.

Was fun to take it for spin at least, and I like the engine sound, very quiet, a seat with springs would be an improvent, but overall pretty happy for a $300 investment
