Torque Amplifier Repair Question

I have my TA disassembled right know and am deciding what to replace. I know I need new rollers, pins, springs, and plugs. But do I need to replace the "Ramp" that all these parts are in. There was quite a bit of flat-spotting on the rollers and there was pieces of metal around them (Probably due to the flat-spotting). If I do replace the parts mentioned above, including the ramp, is it ok to buy .010" over-sized rollers. This website has exactly what I need but the rollers are over sized.

The reason I"m rebuilding this TA is because the tractor would stop and whine when the TA was engaged. So I was told to check out the ramp and rollers. Everything else looks good. So is it safe to assume that the TA will work when I replace the ramp and rollers?

If the ramp has even the slightest mark where rollers fit it is a waste of time to not replace it . Oversize rollers would only be good if ramp and carrier are perfect. The carrier where rollers run against get worn unevenly and that works the rollers back and forth in their grooves also.

you can get a roller ramp carrer kit from HY-capicity at 1 800 247 1824. these are rebuilt to match each other . come with seals aviable and gaskets

Replace the ramp and rollers. I have the parts if you need them. Check the bottom end of the carrier also. It should be machined to 2.858-2.875 for .010 oversized rollers to work.
