Here are a few pictures with my C-199 and on the tractor. I don't really understand how to use it though.

What do you mean,"dont know how to use it?Drop it in,plow, turn around, drop back in 'same' furrow, drop the other side and plow.Repeat-repeat-repeat.....

I'm not a farmer, first off, lol.
How should I set the chain links, sitting on the ground? The levers don't really make much difference tripped or raised, only a very few inches, seems almost negligible. I do have the manual on it, from Binder Books, but; haven't really tried. Plus, its mowing season so the brushhog had to get put on.
Would this plow be worth anything to anyone? I don't really have a use for it, but it came with the tractor. My wife keeps saying, keep it you never know.

The chains simply lift/lower.Adjust the depth with the Hydralic controlls.Use the stops for depth. The hand lever just sets the fore/aft leveling.I agree with the wife, keep it!Since you have a book,READ it.

The chains should be SLACK when plowing at the desired depth.

It is very similar to the Farmall Super A plow in design and operation. I found that I had to give the plow extra chain during plowing, and shorten it up for transport. It barely cleared the ground when turning around at the end of the field.

Depth on these old plows is controlled by the angle of attack, which is that link attached to the outer lift arm in your third picture. The plow digs down until it levels out, so the more you lower the front of the plow, the farther down it goes before it levels out.
