Farmall M running rough

I was disking with my 51 M yesterday and it was running fine and all the sudden it bogged down and would only run at an idle. It would shut off every time I tried to move or give it throttle. This happened once before and I replaced the points and it ran fine after that. So this time I cleaned the points and it seemed to straighten out but did the same thing again after a pass or two. I then replaced the points but it is still doing the same thing. I also pulled the plugs and they all were white like it was running lean so could this be a carb issue or should I work more with the ignition side? Thanks

99.9% likely fuel delivery to carb. From the hole in the tank leading to the sediment bowl, to the needle and seat in the carb it must flow free. There is a screen in the fitting at the carb, and it is possible to have junk above the float needle. The jet on the bottom front will not affect the problem. A vent hole in the cap must also be open, or it will not flow. Jim
