hi ya all has any one got a 12 spring pressure plate
for a 44 m.i went a bit potty and stuffed a perkins
520 into the old love.and although i had the clutch
rebuilt with heavyer springs it just dont cut the
mustard.the tractor is not for pulling comps just a
bit of heavy trailer work.

Are you still using the 11" flywheel? If you switch to a 12" flywheel (late M/SM/400/450) you will have many more choices in clutches.
 
Just to prevent breaking something more expensive, you may want to keep either traction or the clutch as the weakest link in that power train. How much HP/torque can you get on a PTO dynamometer before the clutch slips?

Yeah, I'd say you went a bit potty all right...

You stuffed what amounts to a MASSEY FERGUSON engine in there. Sacrelige! Blasphemy! Have you no morals, man? Have you no shame?

May as well have stuffed a 2-cylinder Deere engine in there.

Looks cool, though. Bet it's got a good bark to it.
 
If you do switch to a 12" clutch you can use 786/986 clutch assemblies as well, just grind the rivets off from the splined PTO drive and remove. As previously stated, many options as well as button clutches / etc.
