Fast Hitch on Farmall C

Hello, Is it true that a fast hitch only came on the Farmall Super C? Can a fast hitch be easily added to a Farmall C? Thank you

Just finished adding one to mine
you need the complete hitch, a auxiliary hydraulic valve to control the ram, and either the correct toolbox or to modify your tool box to receive the fast hitch ram mount and run the hydraulic lines through

You will also need a plug in drawback for the hitch

Hmmm, let's try this again. It's a direct bolt on with the exception of how leveling link attaches to the brake drum. Super C has cast brake drums with attachment point for pictured part. C needs a bracket fabricated, as pictured.

I put a Fast Hitch on my 1949 Farmall C. The FH came from a donor Farmall 200. It made a handy tractor even better !
I have not been able to find a Leveling Link that attaches to the brake drum, and so far I haven"t needed it.
I was able to find the rare Swinging drawbar for it as well, and have added the 2 point to 3 point conversion attachment.
IH sure had a great system going with the FH, too bad the 3 point won out.

My 53 Super C has disc brakes. The leveling bracket show bolts to the back of the brake hub on my fast hitch.

I believe Farmall offered a conversion kit to convert any C or SC to two point operation.

That link in Deans picture is called a bellcrank lock strap. If you're hitch came with a 4 foot or so crooked flat bar about 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick ( called the leveling link). This bar goes from the left touch control arm along the clutch pedal under the tranny cover to the leveling bellcrank. If you have this bar I think you can get by without that lock strap to the brake housing.

Forgot, I have the installation instructions for 3 different number Super C hitch kits but it doesn't mention putting them on a C.
