560 Injector Question

I ordered a rebuilt injector for my 1961 560, and was told by the supplier it has the late style injectors. Mine has the nozzle that takes a 3/4" wrench, and I found a post from earlier on this sight that stated that the late style nozzle takes a 9/16 wrench. I called the supplier back and was told that the one the sent will work weather it is early or late style. Are they correct or do I need to look for old style injector? The injector should be here on Friday so I can not compare yet, just looking for advise!!!

I don't know the answer to your question but I would like to know where you purchased the injector? I need one as well.

Thank you

You probably cannot get a renewed old style injection nozzle as that tip has been obsolete for a long time. The newer one will work but you may notice a different sound to your engine as the pressure is lower on the new style so it opens sooner in the cycle. The original were timed at 3 degrees before top dead center whereas when they switched to the later nozzle they retarded the timeing to one degree before top dead center.
