Farmall A and Farmall H parts interchange

Will any of the front end parts (wide) from a Farmall A interchange with a Framall H with some fabrication? I've looked and haven't come across the dimensions of each front end.

Second, will the front wheel weights from an A fit an H? Thanks

With enough immagination and fabrication,about
anything can be made to fit about anything. The two
fronts are totally different. The A is way
smaller. But I would immigine it should not be a big
beal it adapt.BTDT.I,ve done a couple.WD9 front on
an M;SC front on F-12.... a friend has a Case VC
front on an H.And there is my JD A with a Farmall M
front.Cant say about the wts/.Post some pics if you
get it swapped.

Thanks for the replies. I ran across a complete A wide front for a very cheap price as well as the weights. I may pick up the front and see what it will take to fit to the H. I have the ability and resources to fabricate brackets, linkages, etc... so we'll see what I can come up with. If it doesn't work out, I should be able to re-sell and make my money back pretty easily.

Be warned that the A front end is not nearly heavy enough to handle an H.

It's a good way to take a perfectly serviceable A front end that has some monetary value and reduce that value to 7 cents a pound.

Why not just find the correct axle?

Your H would be worth more with the correcdt axle.
Than it will be with a cobbled up axle mess from an
A.

This is why I asked. If it's not heavy duty enough, then I need to know. I haven't been able to find any dimensions or specs between the two and I'm just looking for any information I can.

I didn't realize looking at various options was considered a cobbled up mess. Pardon my ignorance. As for value, this tractor has nothing more than sentimental value to me. It was purchased new by my grandfather and when he passed more than 10 yrs ago, I became the second owner.

I'd like to put a wide front under it for my own reasons, but I'm not in any hurry. If I stumble across one for an H or compatible for a decent price, then I'll pick one up. Otherwise, if I find something that could be made to fit, then I'll look at that too. With a torch, Five-axis CNC and a welder, I think I might be able to come up with something.
