Thanks So far they try to sell me a 22M. Nobody seems to have anything SAE anymore. At least in large sizes.

My 'M' is not that far removed from your 656, and all of it's drains are NPT. ranging in sizes 3/8" NPT to 1" NPT, more or less. Have you thought about using regular NPT plugs? Those may work for you. Worth a try.
