I want to replace the rear pto seal on my M. Since the new seals are thinner would it be a good idea to put two in? Or is there room? Thanks in advance..

No, just put one in. Make sure you install it so the seal surface runs on shaft where there is little or no wear. The old one on my C was over twice as thick and was also felt. The new ones are a lot more advanced. The seal lips need oil to stay lubricated and remain soft. If you put 2 of them in, the outside one will harden over time and your wasting your money.

While searching for a seal I talked to an SKF tech who said that if you want to install two seals, put grease in the pocket between them to lubricate the lip of the outer seal. It"s really your choice. I used a single seal on my H and it has worked well although I hardly ever use the PTO...I just didn"t want the constant leakage on my shop floor.
