T340 Battery Location?

There has been a lot of talk on here on T340 Crawlers, I am restoring one and want to know where the battery was located when new? this one has a welded up frame & battery box that's behind the seat. Where is it supposed to be? shop manuel & owners manuel don't show a picture of it.
Also is the seat solid or is there an adjustment rail that goes under seat between seat and toolbox? Thanks Gene

I think behind the seat is the only place the battery can go and seat 1 was stationary and 2 others slide back and forth
