Farmall Cub Plow set up

Hello. I bought a cub that came with a plow and disc but i'm pretty sure they aren't cub implements. They seem to hook to the draw bar and lift off the ground by the 2 point hitch and a chain hooked to the back of the disc and plow. The disc is pretty easy to figure out on how to hook it up to the tractor but the plow i can't figure out. The people i bought it from didn't know much about it. It was they're Dad's tractor and remembered they dad plowing with this plow and disc but couldn't remember how it hook to the tractor. They thought that i was suppose to turn the draw bar around backward and the plow bolts to the hitch and the chain hooks to the 2 point hitch. It lifts the plow but the plow won't dig in the ground only slides across the top on the ground. Don't see any place on the plow to adjust the pitch of the plow so the point will dig in. Any body ever used a plow on a cub and hook it to the draw bar and lift it off the ground with a chain and the 2 point hitch?? How do you have to hook the draw bar to the tractor and the plow to the draw bar to make it go in the ground??..Thanks for you time and any help

Did you get the depth control lever with it. It bolts on the side by the fender and a rod goes down to the draw bar. Yes you have to turn the draw bar around and bolt it to it. I had the same proble until I put the adjusting arm on the trac

They are correct. You remove the drawbar, turn it around, and mount it to to the front set of holes in the final drives.

There are pins or bolts that you also need to remove to allow the drawbar to pivot up and down.

There is also a depth control lever that mounts to the right final drive and connects to the flipped-around drawbar. It has a handle with a latch that you can operate from the driver's seat.

The plow should be mostly underneath the tractor, with the chain almost vertical. If it hangs way out the back, you've done something incorrectly.

thanks everybody for your input. sounds like to me i need more than just the plow and the drawbar cause thats all i got. there is a chain hooked to the back of the plow to hook to the lift arm that i'm pretty sure lifts the plow. there is another chain that is hooked to the plow about mid-way that i think hooks to the right rear of the final drive for maybe depth control?..so i believe i understand that the draw bar is to be turned around backwards and hooked to the front set of holes on each final drive. when i say front set of holes i am talking about each final drive has 2 sets of 3 holes on each final drive 1 set of 3 on the front of the final drive and 1 set of 3 on the rear of the final drive. i should hook the draw bar to the set of holes closes to the front of the tractor. the brackets that mount to the final drives stay put when mounted to the finals but the draw bar it self mounts to these brackets with 2 bolts on each side of the draw bar but i need to take one bolt out of each side of the draw bar to mounting bracket so the draw bar can pivot and allow some angle to the plow point to allow it to angle into the ground and that angling is what makes the plow go into the ground....i think...

Did you go look at the pictures in the link that Hendrik provided above? It shows all the parts you need and how they are mounted to the tractor, very clearly.

Yes, the drawbar mounts to the holes at the FRONT of the final drives.

The second chain is a side stabilizer. Some plows do not have these, but apparently yours does.

Depth control is a lever that mounts to the right final drive via a bracket. A short "dogbone" linkage connects the lever to the turned-around drawbar. This allows you to move the drawbar up and down several inches, changing the angle that the plow goes into the ground.

There are 2 versions of the bracket for the depth control lever. For plows with the stabilizer chain, the bracket should have a place to hook the other end of the chain.

Thanks everybody for your help. I finally got this plow to sock in the ground so deep that some time it would stop the tractor and Just spin!..lol..wanted to let everyone know that after figuring out the right position of the drawbar and that had to pivot then i ran into the problem of not having a depth gauge handle to stop the drawbar from going down so far that it would dig in the ground and stop the tractor. So i used a piece of chain from the center from the tractor.I took a bolt out of the center half of the tractor and and stuck the bolt through the chain link and then ran the chain down to the drawbar to give it enough length that it would allow the plow to go deep enough in the ground but would also stop the drawbar from digging in and stopping the tractor. Once i got the right chain length i plowed the lower 40 with out any problems . Thanks to all again.
