Well I had a little unwanted help working on the old SMD tonight after work. I would all but fire last night and while I wasn't watching some well meaning help thought that playing with my plug wires would help. Now I don't know what plug wire goes where. Is it the same as a Super M gas? I gather that the diesels are clocked opposite so that would make it backwards from a gas?

# 1 cyl. at 2 oclock and go counter clockwise 1342. this is factory position, but #1 can be at any position if played with.
and if you are really lost you have to bring #1 cyl. to tdc on compression stroke using timing marks. then see where rotor points. that's #1.
