Hi All,
It's a long story and I won't post it all here, but last December I acquired a B414 from a 90 year old WWII vet who crewed on nearly 100 bomber missions over Germany. His pride was this B414 He has not been well and is now in a nursing home. I got it last December after setting 2 years neglected. Some parts were stolen from it but I got it running and rode it 6 miles to my home in very cold weather.I am trying to do a sort of restore to take it backday to him to see a last time. I have lots of questions, but to keep this reasonably short I'll summarize to date. I've changed fuel, oil, both filters, cleaned hydraulic screen and filled with hydraulic fluid. battery terminals, and all glow plugs. It had no hydraulics when I picked it up. I tried to start it today and hydraulic fluid spews from the flow divider valve,(it has power steering) Upon investigating the divider valve has two lines coming from the pump, two going to the rear and two going to the steering. There is a 7th port just below the two from the pump with nothing connected. That is where the fluid was pouring from. What is connected here?
PS If anyone would like to send Harry a card to thank him for his service message me and I'll provide his address. His days are long and he is an amazing guy.
