I have a neighbor with a Fairway 12 for sale. I think a 1937. He rebuilt the motor but it is dripping water in the engine. Do these have wet sleeves? It has small front tires and the rear wheels have a cast weight built into the rim. It"s very complete except the fenders are rough and cut up. It doesn"t have any tires on the rear. Are they 24"s? The radiator was professionally rebuilt and looks awesome. Any idea of the value of it? If I decide against the purchase I"ll post it for sale here. It has a tag that says IH instead of Farmall. I"m new to red tractors.

they have wet sleeves. could be as simple as a sleeve o-ring or a cracked block. the blocks broke fairly easy when allowed to freeze

pictures would be better to try to figure out a price

my I-12 has 24 inch rubber and would guess the fairway does too. typical size for them when on rubber

Here's a Fairway12 owned and painted by a farmer in Ohio. I think the tractor may have been used by the military. Hal

There weren't a ton of em built, around 1000 if I recall correctly.

Given your description and his price, he is high considering whats wrong with it. You can get new fenders made for around 500.

Heres a pic of an I-12 I bought for 3500. it has the starter/generator and lights which is fairly rare for them.

Most of the Fairways ive seen have had the small little wheels on the front.

W-12's and O-12's typically have the 16 inch rubber
