Farmall 300 fast hitch question

Hey guys, I'm trying to help a friend. He has a 300 with a standard hoop drawbar on it, and he wants to put a fast hitch on it. My first question is, can this be done easily, is it just an "add-on"? Secondly, does anyone have one they'd part with? He's in north central MN, I'm in south eastern WI. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that all 300s were able to bolt up a fast hitch with no modification. I know they are around on eBay and at salvage yards. I have one on my 300 and it is my favorite thing about the tractor.

I will add to Zachary's input that getting the entire hitch including brackets and hoses and valves is a critical element in having success wilt limited frustration. Jim

I am an IH man from the beginning so I like Fast Hitch.
However Fast Hitch Implements are getting hard to find and are costly when found. So even if Fast Hitch is installed most get a 3 pt adapter to use 3 pt implements on the Fast Hitch.
So there are some aftermarket three point hitches out there for the 300 and some can be installed and leave existing drawbar on. This would be the type I would want if I went this route. Now it will look cobbled and won't win any awards at a tractor show but I understand they work and there a lot of used three point implement around that can be bought reasonable. Just a thought.

Thanks for the response. All he's using it for is dragging logs out of the woods, and will use the fast hitch to lift up the end so it will move easier.
