International 584 turns good right but will not turn all the way left. Could it be cylinder or valve ? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Randy, If the tractor has a FEL lift the front end off the ground and make sure that the steering linkage is not binding in either direction.

I've seen a trouble like that once, the steering turn on one side, then don't on the other. When you turn the steering on both side, it has a small play to pull or push the cylinder valve. The end of the valve( thread end) has a tendency to wear and not open all the way. Put a drop of weld on the thread end and the trouble is fixed. Bernard le mécano
