I'm replacing a failed oil pressure gauge with a non-reproduction style gauge on a '53 SM. The old gauge is original with a threaded female fitting. The new gauge has a threaded male fitting that's not removable.
Will I be able to find an adapter in a plumbing supply store that allows me to connect the oil line with original fitting to the new gauge? Or is my best bet to cut the old supply line fitting off and add a new one?
I have the new gauge with me, but the old gauge is on the tractor (90 miles away), so I'm not sure of the fitting size on the supply line.
