plow question

I have a C20 plow with plow chief points on it. The points are still in good shape but the rockshares and landsides are shot. Have any of you guys modified rockshares that are available from TS or fleet farm to fit on this plow. Which ones should I get, I can't get to the plow now, too much snow. I think I can make the landsides out of flatstock. Thanks in advance

A 85 amp plasma torch is a main tool for hard wear surface modifications. The plowchief wasn't made in enough quantity to have replacement parts be economic to produce. If you intend to make it a user plow, I would replace the bottoms with Superchief. and have access to replacement wear parts. Jim

Yep like Jim said just find a doner plow with super chief bottoms and pull the old plow chiefs off and put the super chiefs on . Nothing money can't fix.

Have you tried CIH for Plow Chief parts? I priced shins a year or two ago at a local dealer and they were still available at the time. Messicks' website shows RH 12"-14"-16" regular shares being priced, along with a variety of front/rear landsides when I type the numbers in. The prices shown are impressive. A part number being priced on their website doesn't at all guarantee availability, though.

IIRC someone is fabbing the short/fornt landsides out of what looked to be plate steel. It may have been Steve "Plowman" Smith that posts here.
