Farmall M with picker price

okay I know a guy who has a Farmall M with a 2MH picker on it, and he wants 1500 for the entire rig. is that good??

If the tractor runs and has halfway decent tires that is a good price for just the tractor (at least here)!

one back is flat, but the tractor is free, and the picker was being used the last time it was run. if i just want the picker what would be a good price? 500 or 600?

Has it been stored inside. If it has the picker is easy worth that. But if it's been outside all these years I'd price it by the ton.

You had better buy it as a unit. If you don"t you have to make sure you get the draw bar brackets and the cylinder mount under the tractor belly, and if you have never mounted or unmounted one you are in for a treat. Buy it compleat and save a lot of problems.

Buy it all and if you put the picker on another tractor then sell the M, scrap, it will bring 500.00

Mounted Pickers don't bring any more than scrap price around Western, Pa. Very tough item to sell around here. It would weigh about a ton and that is at approx. $250 these days. I guess if you have that much demand for them where you are, $1500 would be a good deal. Where I am that's not such a good deal. I would be a buyer at about $1000.

Better buy it as they arent making them any more and someone is always looking for a picker. The 2MH is the model they want and you have the mounts for the M so go for it price is good.

If the engine is free, odds are you can get it running good again with a tuneup and some fresh gas.

Put a gallon of slime in the tire if it won't stay up on its own, and sell the tractor for $800-$1000 if that's your pleasure.

I bought the picker and a friend of mine bought the M, so we r going to take them home and get the M running then get the picker off. I paid $350.00 for this machine. Here are a few pictures.

I agree! in the last few years I have mounted and dismounted a couple 2MH pickers and it was miserable, now I am spoiled with the 234 I can put that on myself in 20 minutes. If the M will run I would leave it on.
