And why not post this here as well...I just put this on 'Implement Alley'.

Could folks enlighten me on the models of cultivators IH made; or had made for them, that would have been 'vintage' for the 1958-1963 40 and 60 series tractors? While I'm askin' what models of two and four row front mounted units for same. Thanks in advance. I peeked at some notes from the Wisc. Histerical Society and all I have jotted down is that the model 261 is a two-row and model 461 is four-row for the Farmall 460 and 560 or maybe that was what I saw on the front of some literature. Thanks.

Something I should have added seeing a reply; I am looking for cultivators used for corn and/or tobacco as that would have been the cultivated crops in SW Wisc. back then. But, something for soybeans also; back then I don't even recall hearing about beans.

And Farmallhal; thank you so very much for doing that! I'm hoping 'neither snow, nor sleet, nor.....shall keep them from their appointed rounds.'

Al, I have an IH publication titled "Application Listing of International Harvester Fast-Hitch and Mounted Implements for Farmall and International Tractors". It list several pages of cultivators which can be used on the tractor models you noted. I am sending you copies of those pages for the cultivators along with other information noting additional parts or components required to fit certain models on specific model tractors. I think you will be able to figure it out as one of the required parts in some applications are those spacers when using the small point implements on large point fast hitch tractors. I will put the copies in the mail tomorrow to your Smith Road address. Hope you find the information useful, Hal.
P.S. My Farmall 240 is starting to look like a tractor again as I'm working on the wiring and misc. items presently I am having to reproduce and develop as most parts are next to impossible to find. Should have it completed sometime in the spring unless something unexpected comes up.
