The shifter will jump out of it s slot if you pull it all the way into fast reverse. I have looked at everything I can find and I don t see any kind of stops or pins to keep it from moving too far. It is the valve on the bottom of the shifter that falls out.

There is no stop other than the end of the slot in quadrant. How is the neutral adjustment. Lever should move same amount in forward as reverse to start movement of tractor. Often times the whole quadrant gets loose , cracked or broken corners off lower mount so it does not limit lever properly.

Neutral is right where it should be, maybe the cowl is not setting right? I can reach in with a flat bar, move the piston in and slide the shifter back, till I forget and pull it in to reverse too fast and then do it again.(PIB)
