49 Int M ?? battery -positive gd??

I have a 49 Int. M, I"ve had it a while, I am questioning ---- if the battery hook up, of Positve ground is correct. It is how it was when i got it and i am wondering?, is it correct??

Yes.pos ground is correct.It was that way when it left the factory.

your 49 M, when new, was equiped with a 6 volt positive ground system. if no changes have been made to the tractor, it is correct. alot of electrical conversions such as 6 to 12 volt, and positive to negative ground and so on have been done to these older tractors. bottom line is its correct as long as its the original system. if conversions have been made, then its hard to tell what its suppose to be without some investigation and a little inspecting.

Here is my 49M's 6 volt positive ground set up. Front of battery facing out. The length of that cable was accidental and not meant to be that short but worked out ok. Well, just barely ok. I should have cut it a little longer.
